IN A MIRACLE MOMENT!

Acts 14: 8-10 In Lystra there sat a man crippled in his feet, who was lame from birth and had never walked.  He listened to Paul as he was speaking.  Paul looked directly at him, saw that he had faith to be healed and called out, “Stand up on your feet!”  At that, the man jumped up and began to walk.

Here we have Paul, who just traveled 20 miles from Iconium to avoid the plot against Barnabas and himself, to stone them by the Jews and gentiles.  He wasn’t distracted by threats to his own life or the rantings of naysayers.  His mission remained the same and his message was still clear.  His eyes were always opened to those who needed the good news!

We also see God touch a man who was crippled at birth and never learned to walk.

Imagine back when you witnessed a child learning to walk for the first time.  It was awkward and usually accompanied by many falls.  Their balance had to be learned. The brain took a length of time to connect the wiring between the head and the feet.  But, when God touched a man who never learned to walk in the first place and had no hope of walking in the future, a miracle happened.  Not only did God heal his crippled feet, but He supernaturally redeemed time and infused knowledge not yet learned from childhood in one split second.  Knowledge that could have taken many failed attempts so many years later, was supernaturally imparted within a miracle moment!  Not to mention that legs with no muscles couldn’t hold new feet in the natural, but supernaturally, God made this man new.  He didn’t restore him, because that would mean at some point, he was whole and later lost use of his feet, but the truth is he never had use to begin with.  God made new this broken man.

This man encountered the Word of God being delivered through Paul and he believed.  When he believed; he was changed.  Not only was he changed, but the time lost, lessons learned and ability to do as Paul instructed, was imparted at warp speed through a miracle that could have only happened by God himself!

God can defy time, invade our natural order and invisibly make the remarkable visible, leaving the mind of mere mortal men in awe.  He is not restrained by our limited view, put off by what we consider impossible or held by our status quo.  What he did there, he could do here.  What we see as hopeless or only possible if given an extended time; God can do in a miracle moment.  Time might seem wasted to us, but to God, time is our problem (or need), not his.

Are you held back by insurmountable odds, wasted time or lessons not yet learned?  Give it to God and maybe you will experience your own miracle moment too!
